Yet another challenge often faced is producing thinner films that exhibit increased heat resistance and higher capacitance. The Borclean™ family of high purity PP resins for capacitor film offers the best dielectric film properties. Borclean polymers are produced with ultra-low levels of impurities and residues. Borclean product grades are widened and enhanced by a revolutionary type of high isotactic homopolymer. An isotacticity of more than 98% offers BOPP manufacturers films with improved mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, meaning higher stiffness and lower shrinkage. As a result, the polymers also deliver improved dielectrical properties and less deterioration of the film winding at higher service temperatures of the capacitor. All our products are tailored in relation to molecular weight and molecular weight distribution in order to maximise processability. In conjunction with extreme low gel content, these balanced rheological properties ensure smooth processing behaviour as well as extrusion and stretching.
