Borealis Wins Stellantis Global Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

We are proud to share that Borealis has received the Stellantis Supplier of the Year Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category. We were also recognized as one of Stellantis’ top three suppliers in the South America region across all categories.

Borealis was the only advanced plastics solutions company included in any of this year’s shortlists, reflecting our leadership in sustainable and high-performance mobility solutions.

Two colleagues from our Mobility business—Eide Garcia, Managing Director Americas & VP Global PP Compounding, and Olivier Raffarin, Global Automotive OEMs Manager—attended the ceremony in Paris. The event, which brought together Stellantis’ leadership and suppliers from around the world, highlighted the crucial role of collaboration in delivering on their operational and sustainability priorities.

When presenting the CSR award, Gilles Testu, Stellantis Global VP for Risk Management and Sustainability, emphasized the strong working relationship between our teams. He pointed to the high ethical standards we bring to our work with Stellantis and the confidence this gives them that we will deliver on our commitments.

He also noted the progress Borealis is making in sustainability and carbon reduction through our broad portfolio of circular products for the mobility sector. A key strength of this portfolio is our close collaboration with the industry, including the co-development of materials to meet specific needs. One example is Borcycle GD3600SY, a 65% post-consumer recycled PP glass-fiber reinforced compound, which was developed with Plastivaloire and Stellantis for the new Peugeot 3008.

Gilles Testu also pointed to the strong professional standards that underpin our operations, including our strict ISO-compliant quality management, our EcoVadis Gold rating, and our work through Project STOP — a program we co-founded with Systemiq to establish effective circular waste management systems in Southeast Asia. Together, these demonstrate our commitment to responsible and transparent operations throughout both the value chain and the wider plastics ecosystem.

We appreciate this recognition and the trust Stellantis places in our business. It reflects the impact of our We4Customers strategy and the work of teams across our organization. It is also a reflection of our leading position in the wider automotive supply chain — a position we are continuing to build on through the expansion of our polypropylene (PP) compounding facilities in Schwechat, Austria and the new semi-commercial recyclate-based polyolefins compounding line in Beringen, Belgium. These investments strengthen our role as the primary integrated PP compounder in Europe and further enhance our ability to serve the mobility sector. We look forward to continuing our work with partners to advance circular and low-carbon solutions in mobility — keeping us all moving ahead together.
