We treat everyone with respect and will not tolerate unfair treatment, harassment, abuse or retaliation within the workplace. We strictly observe and comply with Human Rights requirements and expect our external business partners to apply the same standards.

Our internal Compliance & Ethics governance

Compliance & Ethics Department
Borealis Compliance & Ethics Department, headed by Group Compliance & Ethics Officer Gernot Kriegbaum, is responsible for compliance management, creation of awareness and investigation & remediation of unethical misconduct.

Borealis Ethics Ambassador Programme
Borealis applies a network of globally more than 80 Ethics Ambassadors to promote and improve ethical culture in all its locations business segments. Ethics Ambassadors are strongly committed and thoroughly trained in Ethics. They are in close contact with the Compliance & Ethics Department and serve as local contact person for Ethics related questions.

Ethics Council
Borealis maintains an Ethics Council which consists of senior representatives from each ExB area. The Ethics Council shall foster a consistent Ethics culture within the Group and is authorized to approve disciplinary actions for unethical behaviour, sponsorships and possible conflict of interests.
