A location with many facets

Borealis in Linz, located in the Linz chemical park in the heart of Upper Austria as a business location, owns and operates around three quarters of the chemical park's facilities and currently employs around 1,200 people. The site is home to the melamine and plant nutrient production, the international research and development center (Innovation Headquarters - IHQ) and the business support areas.

Borealis in Linz produces around 50,000 tons of melamine every year. This makes the company Europe's second largest manufacturer of high-quality melamine. In addition to melamine, Borealis also produces plant nutrients and technical nitrogen at the site. The annual production capacity of the Linz site is around 1.5 million tons of plant nutrients and technical nitrogen.
